Marlborough College are delighted to announce the appointment of Andrew Hart to the post of Bursar. He will join the Senior Management Team from January 2021.

Andrew has enjoyed 15 successful years working in the retail industry for companies including Homebase, Target (in Australia) and most recently Robert Dyas as Chief Operating Officer.

With a degree in Astrophysics, Andrew then qualified as an accountant with Deloitte & Touche. A number of roles in commercial finance followed, supporting trading, operations and logistics before being appointed as Finance Director for Robert Dyas. This role was expanded to cover the leadership of the E-commerce and Logistics functions before he was promoted to Chief Operating Officer.

In his free time, Andrew enjoys family life with his wife and 9 year-old twins, and is a keen runner and mountain biker.

Andrew said: “I am very excited to be joining education at such a pivotal time for the sector and at such a prestigious school. I look forward to working with the Master and the leadership team to help shape and deliver an ambitious and leading-edge future for Marlborough College”.

The Master, Louise Moelwyn-Hughes, commented: “We have gone through a lengthy and rigorous process to recruit Andrew to this vital senior role and I am delighted that he is joining us. Andrew’s breadth of commercial and financial experience will be invaluable as we look to move forward with our strategy”
