Kerestes is trained in both the natural and social sciences, and her career spans strategy, advocacy, management, and communications. She has served as Executive Director for two national nonprofit organizations and held senior leadership roles in industry associations and consultancies. Her past clients include Fortune 50 companies, universities, foreign embassies, leading consumer brands, and innovative start‑ups.
Most recently, Kerestes served as Executive Director of both Citizens’ Climate Education and Citizens’ Climate Lobby, leading a nationwide grassroots network advocating for evidence‑based climate policy. Prior to that, she was the founding Executive Director of Science is US, an initiative uniting the scientific and engineering communities with civil society to build broad support for science, technology, engineering, math, and medicine.
