Professor Mair is a leading expert and recognised social scientist whose research explores how organisations address complex societal challenges and drive social innovation. She holds a PhD in Management from INSEAD and a Postgraduate Diploma in International Relations from Johns Hopkins SAIS. Currently, she is Professor of Organisation, Strategy and Leadership at the Hertie School in Berlin and Co-Director of the Global Innovation for Impact Lab at Stanford University. Her award-winning scholarship, published in leading journals has challenged established paradigms and advanced our understanding of ‘organising for society’ to address issues such as inequality, poverty and democracy.
