Dating back to 1854, University College Dublin (UCD) has played a pivotal role in the development of Ireland. Our new President will take up office at an exciting time as we continue to play an influential part in tackling global challenges. They will be passionate about the University, our mission, values, and goals, and have the personal attributes to lead a major global university. They will inspire an outstanding University community to achieve our ambitions for excellence and impact, setting standards for quality education of our students, strengthening research performance and building our national and global reputation.
